Movie Review Monday's
I watch alot of movies. It started before I can even remember. Friday nights would come around and my mom would stop by Sinclair or Harmon's, pick up some movies and a box of a dozen donuts and we were set! P.S. sorry Sinclair, I'm pretty sure the Smith family put you out of business because of our late fees... Anyways. I'm on this kick right now of watching horror movies during naptime. 2 hours of uninterrupted time!! Could I be doing something more productive? Yes. Do I want to, No. I'm going to share my reviews of movies I watch because Leah tends to think my explanations are funny. If you don't, stop reading my blog on Mondays. Also, you may wonder how I select these movies. I don't know. I guess I base them off description and movie cover... plus since it's very rare to find any horror movie on NetFlix that has more than 2 stars.... beggars can't be choosers.
Movie Title: "Long Distance"
It starts out with this girl "Nicole" in her apartment upset because she broke up with her boyfriend. She calls her mom upset about it in which her mom tells her it's her fault and that she should try to get back together with him. She hangs up on her mom. Decides to call her back and dials the wrong number which she realizes when she gets a voicemail of some random woman. A few minutes later her phone starts to ring. Thinking its her mom, she hears a man on the line "Average Joe" who calls her back from the wrong number she dialed before. He keeps telling her she meant to call him over and over again... which is irritating. It's like listen man I didn't mean to call you... but of course she keeps sitting on the phone like an idiot saying really... I'm sorry I didn't mean to bother you. Anyways... she hangs up the phone and decides to go do some laundry... While she's down there she pulls some random girls underwear out of the machine and of course as she does predictably that exact woman who the underwear belongs to walks in and asks what are you doing. Nicole walks out back up to her apartment and right as she closes the door the phone rings.. same guy of course. She says leave her alone hangs up the phone and goes to sleep. Next morning, knock on the door. Police officer walks in questioning her about how she called and received a phone call from the wrong number and tells her there was a murder last night at the home of the phone number. Explains she misdialed and the police officer leaves.... At this point would be a good time to indicate whether this movie gets better... Big fat NO. Night time rolls around... gets another phone call from "Joe" She decides to *69, calls back the number to a woman answering the phone. Says sorry, a guy called me from this number.. realizes he's in the house with her and tells the woman to get out of her house to then hear her being choked. Police show up again saying he's a serial killer and they need her help to continue talking to him... blah blah blah... this goes on 3 more times across 3 different states in which they notice he's headed right towards her!! No duh. She starts to fall in love with the police officer that is always with her and they makeout one night... he stops her and says not tonight we should keep focused on "Joe". She wakes up in the middle of the night... goes to the bathroom and while she's in there she hears her named whispered from the shower... "Joe" grabs her, but you don't get to see him... drags her out of the apartment and somehow the police officer gets injured... Nicole wakes up on the floor of an apartment crying and "Joe" is talking to her saying do you want to see my face and she is ugly crying screaming no. Then for some reason he lets her go.... the police officer comes and gets her from the apartment that is above hers. As they are going down the elevator the police officer starts to kiss her and says I will never let anything happen to you again... Here's the good part! The movie is almost over! She walks out of the elevator and realizes she's alone... no police officer.. she then is approached 2 different police officers wanting to ask her questions.... they go back up to her apartment and she's acting all confused... they start questioning her about her boyfriend and she says they broke up... the other officer starts walking around the apartment and finds pictures of the boyfriend... Then he opens a closet and a body falls out. Shocker!!! It's the police officer! She imagined the whole thing. She really killed her boyfriend who she imagined was the police officer because he slept with the "underwear" woman in the laundry room. Don't get how this all ties together? Either do I....
